Mark Sherman is a graduate, with distinction, from George Washington University (BA Political Science), and earned his law degree from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 1983.
He is a member in good standing of The Israel Bar Association and served for over twenty years as a Judge on the Bar Association's Disciplinary Tribunal.
Mark’s legal practice focuses on the areas of real estate, wills, durable powers of attorney and medical directives, and inheritance and probate law. Working with Forensic Genealogists, he also has developed special expertise in locating and registering “forgotten” property (property purchased during the time of the British Mandate in Palestine), and previously unknown to the legal heirs.
Mark is an Israeli notary and also certified to draw up the new Durable Power of Attorney under the recent amendment to the Israeli Custodian Law.
Mark has been active in volunteer activities for many years, specifically with ALYN Hospital, Pediatric and Adolescent Rehabilitation Center in Jerusalem. ALYN is one of the world's leading specialists in pediatric rehabilitation and the only facility of its kind in Israel. Mark has served as a member of the hospital’s Board of Directors for more than a decade and for the past 6 years as Chairman of the Friends of Alyn Association. http://www.alyn.org/
Mark is also a volunteer diver at the new Israel Aquarium in Jerusalem.

Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, Mark has lived in Jerusalem for over 40 years. He is married to Joni Catalano-Sherman and the proud father of four children and six grandchildren (so far)!
